Bradford cannabis grower who called arresting officers 'stupid' is detained by UK Border Force

A 20-YEAR-OLD man who told police officers they were stupid to arrest him for growing cannabis has been detained by the UK Border Force.
Albert Van Asbroeck was due to appear before Bradford Crown Court yesterday to be sentenced for production of the Class B drug and breach of his police bail.
Asbroeck, a Polish national, was caught growing a small number of cannabis plants at his address at Milner House, Greenway Drive, Allerton, Bradford, on September 27 last year.
Police were called to a party at the flat after reports that the drug was being smoked and found the crop in the cellar.
Van Asbroeck told them: "This is stupid. It is only growing cannabis. I don't think this is wrong."
He pleaded guilty to production of cannabis and failing to surrender when he appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court on December 15.
