Registered sex offender jailed after breaching court order by failing to tell police he had moved

A REGISTERED sex offender has been jailed for eight months for failing to tell police he had changed his Bradford address.
Dieter Thorp, 47, was convicted of failing to comply with the terms of his Sexual Offences Prevention Order following a trial at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on December 16 last year.
he breaches occurred between January 14 and October 21, 2014.
He had been forced to register as a sex offender for life after being convicted for buggery in 1996.
Prosecutor Jon Gregg yesterday told Bradford Crown Court that Thorp had given his address to police on September 14 asFagley Terrace, Fagley, Bradford.
When officers visited the address on October 16, its occupant said Thorp hadn't lived there for some time.
He was arrested on October 28, and told police he had moved in with his brother following an argument with the householder.
