A 28-YEAR-OLD man who astonished himself by cultivating a cannabis farm worth up to £55,000 has been spared an immediate jail sentence.
Matthew Morris was amazed when the police told him his 144 plants of the Class B drug could potentially yield so much cash, Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday.
Morris, of Roper Lane, Queensbury, Bradford, pleaded guilty to production of cannabis on October 28 last year.
He illegally used electricity to heat the plants that he grew at a rented address in Derby Street, Queensbury, the court was told.
