Drugs found at ‘stash house’ in historic Little Germany, court told

A BRADFORD man was at the centre of a major drugs plot that saw 15 kilos of heroin and cocaine ferried in and out of the city in three months, a jury heard yesterday.
Muzhar Ahmed was described by prosecutor David Brooke as “the hub of the wheel” of a conspiracy that involved at least 17 people.
Mr Brooke told Bradford Crown Court that the gang’s “stash house” in central Bradford was raided by the police on February 21 last year and five kilos of high purity Class A drugs seized.
The jury was told that Ahmed, 38, of Henley Road, West Bowling, had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, between January 1 and April 24, 2015.
His son, Qasim Ahmed, had admitted possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
On trial denying the conspiracy charge is Jaspal Singh, 42, of Lynnwood Road, Manchester.
Mr Brooke said his fingerprints were found on a heat-sealed package of heroin seized by the police.
It is alleged that Singh was also linked to the plot by phone evidence.
