POLICE have released an efit of a man they want to speak to after a five-year-old fromThornton received serious injuries when she was bit on the face by a dog.
The girl, named Nieve, was waiting in line at a food stall at the event in Calder Holmes Park at the Handmade Parade event in Hebden Bridge, between 2.50pm and 3pm on Sunday when a dog, believed to be a Staffordshire bull terrier, bit her on the face, tearing her lower eye lid and destroying her tear duct. It also bit her on the leg.
Her father, Chris, whose did not want to give his surname, said the two men who were with the dog just ran off after the incident.
The dog was on a lead at the time and is described as brindle and white coloured.
Officers want to speak to two men in connection with the incident who are described as both being white, aged around 50-years-old, of quite broad build, wearing glasses.
