MOTORISTS have been warned to be on guard after carjackers attacked three vulnerable drivers, including two women.
One woman was injured as she fought off a gang of attackers, while another was threatened with a knife.
A 34-year-old woman was in her Audi TT car at traffic lights in Barkerend Road, at the junction with Killinghall Road, when three men opened the driver’s door.
They told her to remove her seatbelt, before a struggle followed and they ran off with her handbag containing her mobile phone and a quantity of cash.
The woman suffered minor bruising in the attack, at around 9.45pm.
The men were wearing hooded tops, pulled down to cover their faces, and were believed to be Asian.
This followed a second incident at the same location, at around 9.25pm, where a man had tried to open the driver's door of a black Seat Leon while the male driver was stationary at traffic lights.
The man is described as Asian, around six feet tall, slim build and was wearing an orange hooded top.
In a third attack, a woman was carjacked at knifepoint by a hooded man in Bradford.
The victim was alone in the black VW Golf at a red traffic light on Marlborough Road,Manningham, at around 7.45am when a man got into the car and ordered her to get out of it.
When she refused he threatened her with a knife, of a similar size to a nailfile.
