Riot police called out to incident in Undercliffe

POLICE in riot gear were called out to a disturbance in Undercliffe last night.
Telegraph & Argus readers have sent in videos of a heavy police presence, including around a dozen officers in riot gear and carrying shields.
They said at around 9pm Pollard Lane had been blocked off by police vans near the junction with Undercliffe Old Road. There were a number of youths on the road, some reported to be throwing rocks at officers.
Naveed Amini was driving home from Bradford to Pudsey when he was caught up in the roadblock.

He said: "I could see a group of young boys throwing stones, and I saw a lot of police in riot gear. My car got stuck in all this, and there were police moving forward coming towards us.
"I had a three year old in the car with me, it was all quite dangerous."
Other witnesses say they had seen a group of around 30 young people throwing stones and bricks at cars shortly before the police arrived.
