Man, 30, arrested in police operation on M62 is charged with firearms offences

A 30-YEAR-OLD man will appear in court tomorrow, charged with firearms offences in relation to a police operation off the M62 on January 2 in which a man was shot dead by a firearms officer.
Moshin Amin, of Broomer Street, Dewsbury, has been charged with firearms related offences related to a loaded semi-automatic handgun capable of firing 9mm ammunition.
He will appear before Leeds magistrates tomorrow, charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause of fear of violence, possession of a sound moderator and possession of ammunition.


Amin has been detained in police custody to appear before the court.
Two other men, aged 37 and 26, who were also arrested on the evening of January 2, have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating the circumstances of the death of Mohammed Yassar Yaqub, 28, who was shot dead after the white Audi he was in was stopped by police on the westbound sliproad of the M62 at Ainley Top.
