STRONG winds are causing chaos for motorists this morning with a number of fallen trees either closing or partially blocking roads. 
A tree has also smashed through the roof of a bungalow in Birkenshaw
Debris on the roads is causing major delays for commuters, with main routes including the M62 busier that normal and closed to high-sided vehicles in places.
A fallen tree has fully closed the A658 Apperley Lane in Apperley Bridge near the Woodlands Drive junction.


The following locations are said to be partly blocked by fallen trees, but passable with care.
  • The A657 Carr Road in Calverley near the Thornhill Street junction;
  • The A6037 Canal Road in Bradford due to fallen tree at A6177 Queen's Road;
  • The B6380 Fair Road in Wibsey, Bradford, near the junctions with St Enoch's Road, St Helena Road, and Wibsey Park Avenue;
  • Bingley Road in Menston;
  • Thornacre Road in WroseShipley;
  • Coach Road, Baildon.
There are also local reports of fallen trees in Smith Avenue, Wibsey, Aireworth Road, Keighley, and Halifax Road, Shelf. 
Delays are also being reported on some local train services, including those in and out of Bradford Forster Square.
