Bomb disposal experts called to premises in Bradford after 'suspect device' found in police search

BOMB disposal experts have attended an incident in Bradford this evening after a suspicious device was found in a search.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said they were initially called to a premises in Leeds Road at around 11.30am to reports of an overnight arson attack.
They said: "Officers attended and during a search found what is believed to be a suspect device. Explosive Ordinance Disposal have attended to check the device is safe and a cordon remains in place.
"Investigations are ongoing into the incident but it is believed to be a targeted attack and there is no information to suggest anyone else is at risk."

It is unsure what time the cordon was put in place but a nearby fish and chip shop employee said the road was blocked off at around 7pm.
The cordon was between Icestone Gelato, opposite the turning for Bradford Lane and the junction of Thornbury Road and Thornbury Street.
An engine from Bradford fire station attended and parked outside Alba Tyres where much of the attention was being directed.
It is not known if a controlled explosion has been carried out.
