A VULNERABLE teenage girl who has been missing since Friday may be in Bradford, police believe.

Farhana Begum, 17, from Wrexham was last seen by her family at 8:30am on Friday when she left home to attend college.

Police say they are "increasingly concerned" about her welfare, and say she may have travelled to Bradford, Manchester or Birmingham.

Farhana is described as being between 5’ 1” and 5’ 3” tall, of medium build with very long black hair. She was last seen wearing a green-coloured jacket and black leggings. She was carrying a large dark holdall bag.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Williams of North Wales Police said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Farhana’s welfare and are appealing for the public’s help to find her.

“Farhana is vulnerable and her disappearance is completely out of character.

“We are in contact with colleagues in other forces as she may have travelled to either the Manchester, Bradford and Birmingham areas.

“Anybody who may know of her whereabouts, or anybody who may have seen her is asked to contact us immediately. Equally we are appealing direct to Farhana for to make contact with either ourselves or her family to let us know that she is safe and well.”

Anybody with information that could assist police is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101, or via the live web chat by quoting reference number 18436.
